Just a Few Cards!

Happy Saturday Everyone!
I have not worked on any projects this week but I would like to share with you three cards I made at the Stampin Up classes I attend monthly.  I think they came out really pretty.  In the first card the flowers were made with the butterfly punch.  We sprayed water onto the butterfly and then applied ink.  Really cool technique.  So here they are and I hope you like them.

Tornado in NYC!

Good morning and Happy Monday everyone!
My apologies for not being able to post for a few days.  As many of you might know some boroughs of New York City were hit with a Tornado last week. It left a few casualties, which my prayers and thoughts go out to all those families.  Also tons of trees fell , some onto the streets and others  over cars and houses.  My area was left without power, phones, inernet.  I thank God that my family, friends and neighbors are well.
I hope to post new projects this week and thank you all for your understanding.

Quilled Hugs,
Linda K.

Welcome Everyone and thank you for Hopping along with us. If you just hopped on over from Jessica Baker's Blog then you are in the Right track.   Kids just want to have fun don't they?  Well here is the project I made for this hop.  My 5 year old just started Kindergarden and I thought why not make something that she will enjoy and at the same time help her learn?  I made a Magnetic Counting Board with magnetic numbers, owls, and the plus and minus signs.  I also made a box and a card to go along with this just in case you would like to give this as a present to a little one that is just starting to learn numbers and counting.  This Project was made Using the Cricut Lite Hoot N' Holler, Plantin School Book.  Paper Stack from DCW SONGBIRD.  For the Bling the I-Rock from Imaginisce and the Frame is from Ikea. For the Quilling Paper Strips from Quilled Creations.  Metal Sheet from Home Depot and Magnet Sheet from Cricut.

(Don't forget to Leave a Comment a the end of this post for the Giveaway.  Make sure to read the rules to enter the drawing)

Take a look:

This is the Magnetic board and It can be played with the numbers and the owls!

Here's the box I made to store the pieces using the Cricut Wild Card Cartridge. Letters are from Cricut Plantin School Book Cartridge

Momo's Tuesday Challenge-Black and White and Another Color!

Hello, hello!
I would like to share with you the card I made for Momo's Tuesday Challenge.
The theme for this challenge is Black and White and a color of your choice.  I chose Green.
I cut the Skunk from Create a Critter at 2 1/2''.
Quilled Flowers were made with 6mm quilling paper.  8-3" yellow treadrops
For the Stem I used a 4" strip of green folded.
I used the I-Rock to embellish the eyes, nose and ears of the skunk.  The center of the flower and the 4 corners of the card.
As you can see I left out a sentiment.  I can stamp it for the suitable occasion when I need it.

I hope you enjoyed it, let me know what you think I do love comments.
Quilled Hugs,
Linda

Bling, Bling with the I-Rock and Drawing with the CRI-Kits Gel Pens

Happy Sunday everyone and thank you for joining me.
Today's project was made for Stephanie's  Always Crafting Blog's Whimsical Wednesday Challenge.  The theme for this week was the 3 B's (Bling, Buttons & Brads).  I recently purchased my I-Rock from Imaginisce at Michae'ls, and I Am In Love with IT!!! Cannot finish telling you how much I have enjoyed using it. Another product that I also recently purchase are the CRI-kits Gel Pens, how Awesome are these!
Here's my project and oh,  NO Quilling this time, but I think it just came out beautiful!
This is a Gift Card holder I will be giving my Sister-in-law for her birthday.  I hope she likes it.

Inside of card  a "Gift Card Holder"
How I made it:

Cricut Cart- Cindy Loo Doilly1 on Page 68 of the booklet
Cut at 5inches using the Fit to Length feature- Actually it was drawn using the CRI-Kits Silver Gel Pen, not cut.  The flower was cut also from the Cindy Loo Cart on page 52 at 1 3/4, crumpled and put together with all the layers and an I-jewel.
I then used the I-rock to heat set the jewels from the Hot Rock compact Jewel set also from Imaginisce.

The card stock was cut at 10 1/2 by 5" and scored at 5 1/4.  The insert to hold the gift card is a piece of card stock measuring 5 1/4 X 2.  The Card stock and sentiment are from Stampin Up.

I love comments so let me know what you think.
Quilled Hugs,
Linda K.
