Hello Everyone and Welcome to another project.

Today's project was cut using the Cricut New Arrival cart.  For those of you new to my blog I would like to let you know that most of my projects are using my Cricut and then embellished with Quilling.  I love this art form and have been doing it for a few years now.  I hope that you find inspiration on my blog and that you give Quilling a try, its so much fun!
I made this card for an upcoming 1st birthday we will be attending on Saturday.  This was an easy project and anyone learning how to quill can master it.  For the Quilling Shapes Chart click HERE.  If you are interested in purchasing a Quilling kit with the tools I have some on sale right here on my blog, you can click on this link "My Quilling Shop blog store", once in a while I will be listing items that you might find interesting for Quilling at affordable prices.  Now on to today's project.....

Eigth Day of Christmas-Scented Quilled Poinsetta Ornaments

On the Eight day of Christmas my true love said to me.....

Make 8 Scented Quilled Poinsetta Ornaments...and put them all in cute little boxes made with your  Cricut!  and here is how I made them:

The boxes were cut with the Wild Card Cricut Cartdrige- (box on Pg. 80 of the booklet)at 4.5"

Cardstock used for my boxes is from S.E.I Winter Song stack.  Gems from Martha Stewart and Hemp twine from Stampin Up.

A Quilled Scissor Charm!

Hello Everyone!
Today I would like to share with you a Quilled Project I made for my scissors.  This flower charm was made using 3/8" width quilling strips of paper.  The edges of this particular paper are gilded to resemble gold.  I quilled 10 Marquise with 12" long strips of paper.  A tight circle for the center of the flower.  An opened center tight circle to place at the top of the charm to hold the keychain.
Hope you like it and a video tutorial is in process to see how it was made!

Have a great day!

Throwback Thursday Challenge Episode #60

Hello Everyone and Welcome to all!
Today's project was made for the Throwback Thursday Challenge from My Creative Time Blog.
This project is a 6X6 Scrapbook page that I made for my 5 month old Lukas.  This is actually my first scrapbook page that I have made him...(I know shame on me :(...) I was looking for a picture of him smiling but quite honestly I don't think we have one yet.  So I used this one of him starring at the camera, I'll change it later I guess.
On with the instructions:
Cart used: Zoobaloo- Palmtree and Vine layer from page 128, used the Fit to lenght feature for a 6" page, the cut was 3 1/2".  I love this feature!  Letters were cut at 1" with the shadow feature.
The Monkeys, leaves on the vine, coconuts and turtle where Quilled with 1/8" strips of quilling paper.  This is the standard size paper for quilling.  Colors used were brown, light brown, dark green.
The picture is 2 X 11/2 and the mat was cut from Stampin Up patterned paper.

Hope you enjoyed todays' project.
Quilled Hugs,
Linda K.

Scissors Charm

Happy Thursday Everyone!!
What crazy weather we have here in New York, a few days ago it was steaming hot you could hardly stand it and today we had to take out our sweaters!!! Yikes
Oh well hope this weather stays like this for a bit longer I don't like the heat!  On to  today's project... I made a charm to embellish my scissors.
Here are the details:

Cart Used:  Freshly Picked
Cut Outs: All cut 4X – 2 X from patterned paper and 2X from Solid.
(All the cutouts were glued together to make the charms sturdy)
                    Hat- 1 ½ inch,  Gloves- 3/4 inch, Spade- 1 ¾ inch,  Rake- 1 ¾ inch
I used the Cropadile to punch holes to the top of each charm and put an eyelet
1/8" strips of Quilling Paper- The Gloves are embellished with a Quilled flower and leaves.
I also used jump rings found in the jewelry section at a craft store (bought mine at Michaels)
Enjoy!

 Quilled Hugs Everyone!
See you again soon!
